The Black Studies Graduate Research Group will foster a space for graduate students to pursue rigorous intellectual training in the field of Black Studies. This level of sustained intellectual engagement will benefit the scholarly production of the participating graduate students and will bring together students whose work pertains to Black studies, but who are currently siloed into separate departments. The sustained intellectual community built through the BSGRG will enable dynamic and interdisciplinary engagement with Black Theory, Black Feminist Theory, and Black Queer Scholarship from the Caribbean, African continent, and the Western Black world.
